LOWDEN


Lowden: Lowden is a community that sits on Highway 30.  It is noted for its active Garden Club, featuring many successful garden walks.

Gary Oster, Joyce Petersen, and Ginger Pruess will open their gardens on July 20 and 22 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Joyce Petersen, 2330 Old Lincoln Highway – Joyce’s garden has daylilies mixed with oriental and regal lilies and many other varieties of flowers and a collection of garden art.  "Our garden is a maze of different flowers, including over 100 daylilies, 2 ponds, a gazebo, and very unique structures made by my husband.  The garden includes a large variety of daylilies and has had many garden walks in the past.  We enjoy gardening and, while it is mostly a hobby, we enjoy having others enjoy it also." Ginger Pruess, 2326 Old Lincoln Highway – Ginger’s home features a water wheel, walking bridge, and fountains that can be enjoyed from the decks of her home.  It also has many decorative features.  Ginger and Joyce’s adjoining gardens overlook the Lowden Country Club.
